The roots of our institute extend over half a century ago, when Dr. Shamsunder Krishnaji Parulekar resolved to contribute to the community that shaped him. Born into a middle-class family with five brothers, he broke tradition by embracing the noble profession of medicine. Rather than settling in the bustling city as expected, he returned to his roots in Sindhudurg district and established his practice in Kudal.
 

With unwavering dedication and diligence, he became the beloved 'people's doctor,' remembered to this day for his healing touch, unparalleled wit, and approachable demeanor. In 2001, his youngest son, Dr. Makarand Parulekar, earned his M.S. in Orthopedics and, inspired by his father's legacy, chose to walk the same path.
 

In 2004, he inaugurated the Dr. S. K. Parulekar Hospital in Ganesh Nagar, Kudal. Joined by his wife, Dr. Gauri Parulekar, they embarked on a journey of service and care. The hospital flourished, pioneering various medical procedures previously unavailable in the district, including the first Total Knee Replacement, Arthroscopic ACL repair, and Spine surgeries.
 

The hospital became a breeding ground for budding specialists and consultants, nurturing their careers. As the demand for expanded services grew, the time arrived to transition to a larger, more comprehensive facility. Thus, SINDHUCARE HOSPITAL was born, marking a new chapter in our commitment to healthcare excellence.
